Customers who have purchased domain names elsewhere may at some point wish to fully transfer a domain name to the control of 3dpixelnet - either for the simplicity of having hosting and domains managed by one company, or because of issues with the previous registrar.
Virtually any domain can be transferred however different extensions (.com, .co.uk, .net etc..) have different methods of transfer because of the organisations that control those extensions.
By far the simplest domain type to transfer is any domain ending in .uk (i.e. .co.uk, .org.uk, .me.uk). There is now no charge for a .*.uk domain name transfer although you must tell us about the domain you wish to transfer. An "IPS Tag" must be given by the owner of the domain, to the existing registrar (the company the domain was originally purchased from). 3dpixelnet will give you the IPS Tag information when contacted about transferring a domain.
.com, .net, .org domain names are harder to transfer in that they require faxed identification and a few extra steps to authorise the transfer. Thus, 3dpixelnet does not recommend transferring a domain within 6 weeks of any expiry date. A fee of £10 is charged by 3dpixelnet for the transfer of such a domain.
Full domain transfers can be tricky as they require the cooperation of three parties; the owner, 3dpixelnet and the "losing" registrar. The fee charged by 3dpixelnet is for the attempt at transfer, and not the actual transfer itself.
3dpixelnet will glady provide any information in assisting with such a transfer. Please be aware transfers can take up to 60 days to complete.
