Atal Innovation Mission (AIM)

In 2016, NITI Aayog launched the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), a flagship initiative to foster innovation and entrepreneurship nationwide.
The enhanced AIM 2.0 initiative, with an expanded scope and a budget allocation of ₹2,750 crore, has been approved by the Union Cabinet to run until March 31, 2028. AIM aims to establish and nurture a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship at various levels, including schools, universities, research institutions, MSMEs, and industries across the country.
It was an honor for WOL3D to participate in AIM 1.0, during which we set up 3D printing labs in educational institutions.

AIM 2.0

As mentioned, AIM is back with its second installment and a higher budget to continue the innovation culture. However, this time, there are additional functions focusing on multiple areas.

Brace Yourself: A Huge Storm is Coming

In the world of the latest technologies, which constantly push the boundaries of what is possible, the recent addition is the “Orange Storm.” It can be a game-changer for the 3D printing industry. This model has a PPP approach, better power, precision, and performance.

Larger in size

This FDM printer has a build volume and a print area of 800mmx800mmx1000mm. The spacious print bed allows one to create oversized models in one go, offering flexibility and reducing the need to cut large models into smaller sections.

Efficient Heating

Efficient printing is not just about the bed size but also how evenly heat is distributed across it. Orange Storm has an effective heating bed consisting of 4 independent (410*410mm) PEI magnetic high-temperature platforms with a maximum temperature of 100°C.

All four platforms can be heated to 100°C over the entire area in 17 minutes (Ambient temperature: 25℃). The bed also maintains a consistent temperature, enabling users to print using a wide variety of materials. The platform where the model is placed can be easily recognized and heated independently or manually and independently controlled for increased energy efficiency.

Lightning-Fast Printing with Quality

Speed is one major factor we want regarding printing capabilities and tight deadlines. We especially need a printer with a high printing speed that doesn’t compromise quality. And Orange Storm is precisely that. 

It utilizes a 64-bit 1.5G clock speed quad-core high-performance processor (SOC RK3328) that provides sufficient computing capacity while delivering 6 times the printing speed. The maximum speed is 300mm/s (150mm/s is recommended), the top-end print speed for printers of its size.

With its advanced motion system, this model can handle high-speed prints while maintaining exceptional accuracy. Whether prototyping or mass-producing, you can rely on Orange Storm to complete your projects quickly and meet customer demands.

Multi-Nozzle Printing

This model also has a multi-nozzle printing feature, allowing one to print multiple items simultaneously or in various colours in a single print. Three additional printheads or nozzles can be added to an existing one on the X-axis. Each nozzle can be equipped with the same material and different-coloured filament to achieve four different-coloured models of the same kind.

As mentioned, the printer can handle up to four nozzles and is perfect for simultaneously creating items with different properties, textures, or colours. This feature makes the work easier without manual intervention or post-processing.

Powerful Cooling Fan

Cooling fan plays a significant role in achieving high-quality prints with proper detailing. The Orange Storm is equipped with a powerful cooling fan to balance optimal temperatures while printing, ensuring precise layering and avoiding issues like stringing or excessive warping.

Thickened double-sided cooling fans can comprehensively enhance the printing results. In addition, the fans are equipped with an intelligent control function that stops working when printing is complete, saving energy, reducing noise, and prolonging the lifespan. (5015 ball blower fan*2, 4010 ball axial fan*1)

The cooling fan ensures that the layers are correctly cooled and hardened, resulting in exceptional outcomes.
