New Account Setup

Thankyou for your purchase of a hosting account with 3dpixelnet, we endevour to set up your account within 2 hours should the purchase be made inside UK daytime hours. The account setup will be marked with our systems emailing you 2 welcome emails which we recommend you keep for safe keeping.

Although the account itself will be set up, there will be a period of time required to associate the domain name with the account. There are 3 situations depending on your purchase:

If you have purchased a domain with 3dpixelnet as part of your account, the domain will take approximately 2 hours to come into being, although it can take up to 48 hours depending on the extension of your domain name (.com / .org etc..)
If you have an existing domain hosted / managed elsewhere the nameserver change that you are requested to make in your welcome emails will take 24 hours to filter through.
If you have taken a free 3dpixelnet subdomain then it will be ready within a few hours.

The most simple way to check if your domain name and account are set up correctly is to try to actually visit the domain itself in your browser. If the 3dpixelnet welcome page is presented the account is ready to use.

Here is an example welcome email sent to new customers.

Email, FTP, Webmail, Webstats

To set up your first email please log into your control panel http://yourservername.3dpixelnet.com/cp Secondly, follow this guide (3DPixel's guide to creating email addresses)

To access mail via a mail client such as Micrsoft Outlook click here or to access mail via a client such as Mozilla Thunderbird click here.

To access the mailbox you have created via the 3DPixelNet webmail interface, click here

To access the statistics for your website please add a /webstat to your domain name.

New Domain Customers

For customers that have purchased domain names with 3DPixelNet, there is a period of time required for the domain name to filter through the Internet. Thus, to access your Control Panel (Plesk) before your domain becomes available please log in using http://servername.3dpixelnet.com/cp

Customers With Existing Domains

For customers that have purchased domain names elsewhere, the nameservers on the domain will need to be changed. This can only be done with the company who currently administers the domain name; i.e. the company from whom the domain name was originally purchased from.

Our nameservers are as follows:
ns1.3dpixelnet.com (207.44.178.72)
AND
ns2.3dpixelnet.com (77.240.1.132)

Both nameservers are required, some companies also require the IPs but this is rare.

IPS TAG Changes or FULL Domain Transfers

Some companies refuse to administer a domain name if it is being hosted elsewhere, in such cases they will ask for an IPS TAG (for .*.uk domain names) in order to facilitate a FULL transfer to 3DPixelnet. There is Â£10 charge for this payable to 3DPixelNet for this service, please contact us through our Website clearly stating the domain to be transferred.

Expiry Dates

Don't worry about your expiry date and your site going offline! 3DPixelNet will email you@youremail.com 10 days, and 3 days prior to your account renewal date; and 1 month and 1 week prior to any domain names purchased with 3DPixelNet.
