Mailing List / Mass Emails

3dpixelnet does not have an issue with legitimate, strictly opt-in mailing lists. We do insist however that customers make use of a mailing list manager, rather than the obvious temptation to utilise webmail, or our SMTP services.

3dpixelnet considers the sending of 50 emails or more at once as mass/bulk emailing.

Sending emails without a manager has issues. Companies such as AOL, Hotmail (Microsoft) may look unfavourably upon mass emails sent in one go via webmail or SMTP. They may even take the step of blocking your email address or the server your site is hosted upon.

Making use of a mailing list manager will allow you to easily manage lists, allow people to subscribe and unsubscribe themselves to your mailings, and burst send emails (for example, 50 emails per minute).

3dpixelnet strongly recommends the use of the MOJO/DADA mailing list software; it is proven to work with our servers.

MOJO mail is free, and very easy to install in your cgi-bin if you carefully read the instructions. No advanced knowledge is required.
