Apple Mail - Secure POP3 / IMAP Account Setup

In order to download email to your computer via Apple Mail, you must first have created an email account in your Plesk Control Panel.

Apple Mail is very straightforward to set up. A series of 3 screens to input information which you will either a) have obtained from creating an email account in your Plesk Control Panel and b) from our welcome email.

In order to connect via secure SSL you need to enter your server name in the 'incoming mail server' box and not the traditional mail.yourdomain.com template. You will know which 3DPixel.net server you are hosted upon from your welcome email but please contact us if you cannot find this information.

Unlike other client email programs, Apple Mail will attempt to connect securely by default. Thus if the setup completes with no error then it is connected via secure SSL.

If SMTP support was purchased from 3DPixelNet please refer to the SMTP email sent from 3DPixel.net after your account was set up for the relevant details otherwise use your SMTP settings from your ISP provider (BT, Virgin etc).
