SSD Server Benchmarks

We thought we would publish some benchmarks of our latest generation of 3dpixel.net servers for both personal and dedicated customers.
Our primary aims are to:
a) increase performance
b) reduce power consumption
To this end, we are gradually replacing our Dual Core Nocona Xeon Servers with SCSI drives to Quad Core Harpertown Xeon Servers with the latest SSD drives [...]

Spam Filter – it’s true when they say 85% of all email is spam.

Rounded figures from one of our spam filtering servers on a weekday in May 2008.
40,000 email transactions.
32,000 emails blocked by a combination of RBL Blacklists and Greylisting.
Of the remaining 8000 emails, 2000 were deleted by the SpamGate System.
6000 emails delivered.
6000 out of 40,000 is 15% thus 85% of the email coming into this server is [...]
